Masjid Al-Ihsan

Masjid Al-Ihsan in Magomeni takes its name from 'ihsan', one of the three pillars of the religion described in the famous hadith of Jibreel, where the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) defined ihsan as worshipping Allah as though you see Him, for even if you do not see Him, He certainly sees you. This ideal — the perfection of worship through constant awareness of Allah — shapes the atmosphere of the mosque and the themes of its sermons. The masjid serves the surrounding streets of this Dar es Salaam neighbourhood with the five daily prayers in congregation and a strong weekly jumu'ah.
