Hakkında

Al-Fateh Mosque in Islamabad is among the prominent congregational mosques of the Pakistani capital, serving the substantial Muslim community of the surrounding sectors with the five daily prayers, Friday Jumu'ah, and the major celebrations of the Islamic calendar. The mosque sits within the planned grid of Islamabad — the modern capital that replaced Karachi as Pakistan's administrative centre after 1960 — and reflects the contemporary Pakistani approach to mosque architecture, with a substantial dome over the central prayer hall, a tall slender minaret from which the adhan is called five times daily, and an outer courtyard where additional worshippers gather for major occasions. Like other major Islamabad mosques, Al-Fateh serves a diverse congregation drawn from across Pakistan: Punjabi, Pashtun, Sindhi, Baloch, Mohajir and Hazara families who have settled in the federal capital, alongside diplomats and international Muslim residents. The mosque participates in the wider rhythm of Pakistani religious life — the Ramadan tarawih prayers extending late into the night, the two Eid celebrations bringing the entire community together, and the regular Qur'anic recitations and lessons that mark the religious education of the next generation.
