Hakkında

Carrying the honoured name of Shaykh Sulayman bin Ali al Alula, may God have mercy upon him, the congregational mosque in the Saudi city of Ar Rass gathers its worshippers in the heart of the Qassim region, one of the most agriculturally prosperous and scholarly districts of the Kingdom. Al Qassim is known across Arabia for its vast date palm plantations, its deep artesian wells, its hospitable Najdi families, and above all for its cherished heritage of religious scholarship which has produced many of the leading teachers and jurists of the modern peninsula across successive generations.

Ar Rass itself occupies an important historical position. The city is remembered in early Islamic accounts as the site of a significant battle during the period known as the Ridda, when the first caliph Abu Bakr al Siddiq, may God be pleased with him, sent forces to reaffirm the unity of the young Muslim community. In more recent centuries Ar Rass grew into an agricultural and commercial hub at the crossroads of central Arabia, with caravans of camels carrying dates, grain, and woven goods between the markets of Buraydah, Unaizah, and the harbours of the eastern coast.

Shaykh Sulayman al Alula served as an imam, teacher, and community leader whose memory is cherished by the families of the region. The dedication of a jami in his name preserves his reward across the generations, as students learn the Holy Qur'an, hadith, and Arabic grammar within its walls. The building follows the classic Najdi style of thick pale plastered walls, flat roofed prayer hall beamed with palm trunks, and a slender square minaret that carries the adhan across palm groves, vegetable gardens, and the neighbouring housing districts of the expanding city.

On this page worshippers will find accurate daily prayer times for Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha at the Ar Rass mosque, along with its address, a clear location map, and helpful notes that assist residents of the Qassim region, date farmers, university students at nearby institutions, pilgrims on the long road through central Arabia, and travellers from Riyadh or Madinah to share in the sincere congregational worship offered with Najdi hospitality here at every time of the year.
