Hakkında

Tachbrook Halal has served the Muslim community of central London for many years from its premises on Tachbrook Street in Pimlico, a handsome residential and commercial quarter of the City of Westminster whose elegant stucco terraces, garden squares, and bustling street markets draw residents and visitors from across the capital. Pimlico itself lies between Victoria Station and the River Thames, a distinctively self contained neighbourhood developed during the early nineteenth century by the architect Thomas Cubitt whose geometric grid of streets and repeated architectural motifs still shapes the district today. London has been home to Muslim residents since the seventeenth century, when Ottoman envoys and Indian sailors known as lascars first settled near the Thames docklands, with the community growing steadily through successive migrations from the Indian subcontinent, the Arab world, West and East Africa, Turkey, Bosnia, Somalia, and many other corners of the ummah, and the capital today supports a vast network of mosques and Islamic institutions serving a congregation numbering well into the millions. Tachbrook Halal is a trusted butcher shop specialising in halal certified meats sourced from approved suppliers operating under recognised Islamic slaughter standards, with the daily counter offering fresh lamb, mutton, beef, chicken, turkey, veal, goat, and seasonal offerings such as whole lambs for Eid al Adha and festive cuts for Ramadan iftars. Alongside the butcher's counter, the shop carries a selection of South Asian, Middle Eastern, and North African pantry staples including basmati rice, atta flour, lentils, tahini, preserved lemons, harissa, rose water, dates from the Gulf, and various spice blends used in biryanis, kebabs, and curries. Staff are knowledgeable, multilingual, and accommodating, able to advise customers on cuts appropriate for particular family dishes and to prepare special orders for weddings, aqiqahs, and community gatherings. The shop operates extended hours during the blessed month of Ramadan and the Eid al Adha period when demand for sacrificial animals rises sharply. Its adherence to halal standards reflects the teaching of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, on wholesome provision. Pimlico underground station is a short walk away, and several local mosques serve the surrounding community.
